Amoured Security Transition Course

The Chief Firearms Office has mandated a transition from revolver to semi auto pistol for all armed security officers. We are one of the companies on a short list of recognized instructors for this program and this course was specifically designed and approved for armed security personnel by the CFO.

It is a 3 day course with an extensive amount of range time and clearly defined skill levels. Security companies wishing to complete the transition ahead of the 2012 deadline should pick up the mobile phone and contact us at their earliest convenience for timing, rates and location.

We also do current revolver training for new hires and yearly re-certification for the ATC's

Beginner Certificate Course:

This course is designed for individuals who would like to acquire a restricted firearms license. It is also ideal for those who would like to compete in CDP competitions.

• Class size 1 to 2 students
• Can be structured as one 2-day and one 3-day weekend or 5 continuous days.
• Prerequisite – None
• Equipment – All equipment including handgun, holster, mag pouch supplied by CQB.
• Students to bring ear & eye protection, and a holster belt.
• Ammunition – Students to bring 500 rounds.
• Course includes training and exam to obtain:
    1.  Restricted Firearms License
    2.  CSSA Membership
    3.  CDP Shield Certificate
• Special rates for CSSA members.

Holster Certification:

Ideal for people eager to start competitive shooting who have not been able to line up a group course. On successful completion you will receive membership in Canadian Shooting Sports Association, CSSA Holster Certification Card and the CDP Shield Card.

• Class size 1 to 3 students
• 2 ½ Days (weekend)
• Prerequisite – 1 year handgun shooting experience
• Equipment – All equipment including handgun, holster, mag pouch supplied by CQB.
• Students to bring ear & eye protection, and a holster belt.
• Ammunition – Students to bring 500 rounds.
• Special rates for CSSA members.

Advanced Tactical Pistol Course

Topics and skills covered go beyond the basic safety and skills required for the CDP Shield Course. It deals with advanced topics, tactics and skills including concepts from the Israeli Tactical Pistol Training. Certificate provided.

• Class size 4 - 10 participants
• 2 Days (weekend)
• Prerequisite – Shield, Black Badge, PPC.
• Equipment – per CDP rule book
• Ammunition – Students to bring 500 rounds

Note: All participants in any of the foregoing courses must have a valid firearms license or be a member of a government organization If supplying their own or a company firearm they must also have a valid ATC.

Tell us what your requirements are and we will build a course to meet them. We have had extensive experience in this area, having developed courses for the security industry and shooting associations.

We also have a 'train the trainer module' that we can incorporate into any program. This allows participants to take home their newly acquired skills and knowledge and pass it on to others.

Please Note:

Ranges approved for our type of shooting are getting harder to find. Combined with an increased demand from numerous agencies scheduling is an important consideration. Weekend time in and around metro areas is virtually non existent which means that weekdays are becoming the norm. This is particularly true for longer courses.

All winter courses will be conducted on indoor ranges wherever possible. Again where possible we will try to book ranges as close as we can to the students' location.(\
